Jatoba
Wood type
Jatoba is a South American tropical hardwood species that is in durability class 2.
You recognise jatoba wood by its beautiful orange-red to red-brown colour and flame markings with dark stripes. It is known as a very hard wood species that shows little movement. This not only makes jatoba wood perfect for outdoor use, it also makes it popular indoors. You will often find it in places where it is used intensively. Think of jatoba parquet, jatoba decking or simply as veneer.
