Denderwood: exotic timber in the heart of Europe

Construction of a brand new site at its Neufchâteau, Wallonia site began in 2022. The Belgian company decided to establish itself at a strategic crossroad with easy access to France, Benelux, Germany and Switzerland, thanks to the E411 motorway running through Belgium. The creation of a central logistics platform fully meets our expectations. Neufchâteau offers much easier access to European markets. ‘Before, we worked with about a dozen subcontractors doing the planing,’ recalls Hicham Chine, who started as a trainee and is now in charge of purchasing and sales, ’We didn't have the same quality from one subcontractor to another, we couldn't stockpile and there were logistical constraints. Now we have to be reactive.’ The new eco-friendly site gives Denderwood ‘better control over quality, production costs and lead times’, thanks to an investment in two in two production lines.
